Those who have MRT exhaust 2.0
Those of you who have the MRT exhaust did it increase your mpg's and if so by how many per gallon. Also how much horsepower did it add.

The mufflers don't add any power. It gives you waaaaaay better sound, but the assumption is that the freer flowing exhaust will give you better mileage. I never cared much of what effect it would have on the mileage so I can't tell you if it improved it or not. I also added longtube headers while I added the MRTs.
Maybe other's who have added the mufflers can tell ya.

The MRT 2.0 is pretty much for the sound and I might add a bad a$$ sound. I did not notice any change in mpg and the other tech guys on this forum had proven there was no increase in HP. |

Now... I did once do a ver 1.0 vs ver 2.0 dyno... the results seemed a bit to good but.. then again... perhaps they aren't...

My estimate on the added hp was around 3-5hp and mpg.....I don't think anything but down due to sound!

![]() This was after swapping from ver 1.0 to ver 2.0... I know Ver 1.0 didn't add a lot... it did show some nice gains in the 5400 RPM range... Really don't have a good explanation for this though... either I got a nice gain with Ver 2.0 OR it was about the time i switched to premium! LOL!

I am in the same boat as ROD1.......LOL. I don't even look at the mpg anymore, just check the estimated range.
