Someone else has your second key... and probably you car buy now! I'd call the dealer ASAP.

Dealership theft happens all the time! Sometimes they go weeks to months before realizing the cars are gone! Not the same in your situation, just saying.

Congrats on the car!

Where did you hear $600??

I've had several conversations with the key engineer (also a friend of mine for many years) and he has assured me it is more like $60 for a replacement due to the security measures and electronics.

But to agree, you should get two keys, not one and your salesman should know that. Every Chevy will come with two keys.

I'd call that dealer more than a sap.

Yes, you should get two keys. Go back to the dealer, and have them cut one TODAY.

I got 2 with mine.

Are these considered 'smart keys'?

Local place makes copies of them if so, for 60 bucks, was thinking of getting one.
