Bank Drive Throughs Suck
I’ve had my car for a year and 25 days and I have always tried to be very careful of where I park and how I drive so I don’t end up with any dings dents or damage.
Many of you may have gone through the tight bank drive through before and sweated every moment. I do the same and normally it’s just a moment of uneasiness, then it’s over. Yesterday I got strike one. Oh the pain! Like a dagger in my back, I heard the awful grind of metal on concrete. The damage was bad. One spoke and a bit along the rim. I WAS PISSED; at the bank, and at myself. How could this happen.I went home right away and assessed the damage. Yeah it was bad but I went to work immediately with my Dremmel Multi-Tool. It took a couple of hours to finish and it’s not perfect. It was hard to get the aluminum polished but not too polished. I'll have to go back and tweak it. Sorry I don’t have a before shot but here it is after:

On a good note there's not damage to the tire! You should be able to get that rim fixed without too much trouble. Sorry for the loss! :(

Really good job on the repair, barely noticeable. You have the polished wheels (not the MS wheels), right?

That so sucks, will have had mine for 6 months on 6/22 and am waiting for a door ding (although I park out in the sticks everywhere I go) - or me to pull some stupid curb trick.
You did a pretty good job with your dremmel from what I can see. Good to know that's an option.. |

After scrubbing one of the wheels on my 350Z which has a similar door and window,I get my lazy ass out of the car and go to the inside ATM.

If that's a polished wheel, try applying some clear coat on it.

Yes, these are polished. I went back and forth from too polished to too dull. It's now too dull. It may be the original clear coat is the dulling part. I put some clearcoat on it to prevent weather damage.

If you wanted to try my PC 7424 on it, we could do that if you wanted. I also have bavarian silver, and midnight silver touch up paints if you wanted to try either one of those.
