How do I get those polished wheels looking good?

I haven't found any product that really polishes the wheels. I know alot of it is the factory finish itself, but just don't have a luster and always seems they are hazy. What are you guys using to polish the polished wheels?

I actually polished mine with the PC just like the car and put a coat of Adams Americana on top.

What kind of polish did you use with the PC on your rims?

Your wheels are clear coated, so no amount of any metal polish will help shine them up. Unless you remove the clear coating of course.

As stated, you can use clear coat polish to get the clear shining.

I just wash them up real good and hit them with some detail spray for any water spots ...

Also I plan on swapping out the OEM pads for ceramic so the dust level will be a lot less ... And FYI the LT without the brembos is much easier to keep clean ...

GM's "polished" finish certainly leaves a lot to be desired, I think they do a great job of designing wheels, the TBSS, Camaro, and some of the upgraded SUV wheels are great designs, but the finish is just poor IMO.

Yeah, I bet so. The Brembos generous quite a bit of brake dust!

Dylan with Adam's Polishes sent me this detailed response regarding the polished wheels:

Hey Jeremy,

Sorry for the slow response, I had a very busy (and HOT) weekend.

The wheels can be treated like any other painted surface on your car, polish and wax, even clay when needed.

If the wheels are generally scratch free I'd recommend just taking a little Revive polish to them, that will add a little pop, follow that up with a hand applied coat of our Machine Superwax. Its the best product we have for wheels since its a very durable synthetic and stands up to the heat and abuse a wheel will see on a daily basis.

For cleaning just soap and water should be enough to do the job, for the rare occasion you have some serious brake dust build up our green wheel cleaner is great for cleaning those deposits.

In the event you want a little extra POP from the wheels you can top the Machine Superwax with our Brilliant Spray Glaze.

Hope that helps, let me know if you have absolutely any other questions.

Love my polished wheels, I use soap and water and they look shiny all of the time.

I ordered the polished wheels but was disapointed even though I cleaned them almost every time I took my SS out. Within a few miles they looked dirty like the MS wheels. Solved the problem with my GM chrome wheels. Always shiny as the brake dust doesn't stick and they never have that dull painted look. Also, I now have my polished wheels for a set of winter tires.
