WKD FIRE gets a front plate

Look what my wife bought...

I think I saw WKD FIRE flinch, and scoot backwards.

I told her when she bought the holder I would put it on. It goes on Friday. At least it is one of the good plate holders, and it will not touch the body. I have been looking at this one since it was produced.

As a word of advice, I would epoxy the nuts on the back of the plates, it makes the install SOOOOOOOOOOOOO much easier. Otherwise you will be fishing them out of the lower front cover. Also I placed mine on a 4X4 and hit it with a rubber hammer to bend it to the shape of the front of the bumper cover, It actually looks pretty good.

One other thing, I drilled an additional centerline hole in mine and also turned it upside down to get it in the exact location I wanted...

BOOO to front plates!!!

Ok, it looks good, and it is centered. I have always liked this bracket, and I am glad it is this one we put on. It still needs some "BLING", so I will get the matching LP frame like I have on the back. It will match the chromed out bowties.

Here are the pics. Any thoughts?

Oh, when you take the plate off the engine, make sure you clean underneath. It is nasty and alot of dirt. Mine is polished at this point! LOL

Here is the info from a thread I posted last summer. It is $100. A bit steep, but it includes shipping, and it is really well built. No flexing and very light weight.

I will be putting a plate bracket on it to finish the look like I have on the rear. I think it looks unfinished the way it is now. Afterwards, it will be nice!
