2010 Camaro Parts or Salvage Car?? I Need It's 3rd Brake Light!

First I should probably introduce myself since this is my first post here. I currently own one 1980 2nd Gen Z28/Z49 amongst other GM cars but intend to purchase a 2011 or 2012 Camaro in the not so distant future. If anyone is curious I intend to buy a Cyber Gray Metallic 2SS 6spd manual, fully loaded (including HUD) minus features like sunroof, stripes, or body kit. I have a particular affinity for the now retired Aqua Blue Metallic & Synergy Green but CGM appeals to me slightly more so I've made up my mind! I've also visited the Camaro factory in Oshawa Ontario over last winter and got to see all sorts of things and final steps in the 5th Gen production process... some I technically shouldn't have seen either. I also made buddies with some Canadians and had a photo opp with a newly born ABM 2SS fresh off the line! That was fun... Perhaps I'll throw up a thread with a few photos but I'm sure it's not much of anything new given all the great photos I've seen as a "stalker" on this forum for the last year!

Getting down to business and the subject matter at hand though...

Does anyone own, know of, or can tell me who to contact to find a 2010 Camaro parts car or one in a salvage yard?

I intend to use the LED 3rd brake light in my current project car, which by itself can be bought from GM for $60-$80 which I wouldn't mind paying (although I'd prefer $30-$40 from a parts car) but more importantly since I want to wire this third brake light into a vintage car and not something with a multi-pin modern connection, I think it would work better to pull one from a salvage car so I can actually cut off about a foot of the wiring harness too so I'll have a positive and a ground to wire up rather than trying to wire to what I believe are just pins on the back of the LED tail light housing...

I've read reversing the polarity/ground accidently on LED tail lights can fry them instantly too so having the factory wires (assuming they're actually red & black!?) would help to avoid that.

Or if anyone can even obtain a picture of what the back side of this LED housing actually looks like removed from the depths of the 5th Gen Camaro interior that would be appreciated too! The default GM photo is a vague black outline.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can find me a parts car! I know it's tough despite the large number of wrecked 5th Gens out there since even the worst ones are getting sold dirt cheap and rebuilt into functioning cars. My goal is to have one within 2 weeks max since I'm hoping to have this car ready for a road trip in a little over a month!

Check the thread titled "most ridiculous camaro ever" there is a 2010 camaro for sale. It's not exactly a parts car, but is a car I wouldn't be caught dead driving. Buy this car as a favor to the Camaro community and hide it in a barn or something.

Wow... After viewing that thread if I had the spare change I'd purchase it, do society a favor by melting those wheels down and then turn the rest of it into a dedicated race car since I'm sure the interior is in an equally frightening state! :(

Thanks for the link but I already stumbled upon that and two other sites auctioning salvage Camaros but they aren't parting them out which means I'm out of luck there. Although I can think of a variety of large scale art projects that could be done with salvage 5th Gens! King size Camaro bed anyone?? World's most aggressive looking dog house with HIDs?

Any other leads anyone?

Yes I noticed; your CGM Camaro looks very mean! Thanks for the good luck, looks like I'll need it given the lack of 5th Gens being parted out!

Thanks for the link but finding the taillight itself is no trouble since it can be purchased through any GM dealership, it's finding the wiring harness leading up to that third brake light that's the tricky part. I figure if someone is going to have to cut part of the wiring harness out anyway I might as well buy the third brake light from them while I'm at it!
