help
i just got 2 12's(kicker comps) and amp in a box.....but thats it. what all else am i gonna need to do the install, i wanna keep the stock head unit.
I have never had or done subs before so go easy on me

You are going to need the following:
sub enclosure - I recommend Steve and ******** Amp install kit - I recommend Stinger, I picked mine up from Darvex.com Fuse - stinger as well from Darvex.com Sound dampening - if you want - I used second skin products. X3 connector - this integrates with your stock system if you have the BA again from Steve at ********, if you dont have the BA system you will need a PAC-LOC which taps into the level inputs at your speakers. As above, Sumbthump can hook you up for the factory integration connector/harness and sub box to fit the car.
Amp install kit may be a waste because the distance is so short (battery is in the back), I tossed more than I used of the 2ga. wire. I would just buy two ring terminals, a fuse holder, fuse, power wires by the foot, one set of 12ft. RCA's, and find some speaker wire. Unless it's a lot cheaper to buy a kit... |
