Reviews and Advise on Lightweight Flywheels
I have a 2011 SS M6 that i have done suspension and engine mods to. the stock clutch is on its way out and i am looking at spec 2+ clutch to replace. i am considering a lightweight flywheel to replace stock as well since i will have everything apart. would this mod be worth it or not??
i know the benefits of the lightweight flywheels are supposed to be very good. are there any serious downsides and is it worth it? i track the car on road courses 2-3 times per year and drive on the weekends in between. |

Having light weight rotating parts is always good. The downside is sometimes going to a lighter flywheel can also mean going to a weaker flywheel. So, just be careful in what you order and what you put on your car.

I've ran fidanza billet aluminum flywheels, had good results. You shouldn't have any idle trouble...
