Well the way the test shows is what I expected from the beginning. The Injen wins because with this V6 car you have to get the filter out of the engine compartment to really create cold air. The Injen is the only TRUE cold air intake of the four. I think scrming proved that to everyone last year. Thanks Jannetty for deciding the true champ of CAI's once in for all.

Again, for those with worries, my Injen has seen several bad rain storms, not once has ti actually seen anymore water then anything else under the hood. You'll have to submerge the filter, meaning, driving in 12-14" of standing water, to seriously create an issue.

Now, the install thing?? LOL, you have me there, it is the most time consuming install. IMHO, the results are worth it!
Ya know, based on these results, you are putting out about 290 WHP (370 BHP) lol. Not bad for an auto .........especially on a motor so finely tuned that bolt ons really dont give much of a gain.

Agreed. After viewing the dyno graphs and my personal driving style and opinion I will most likely be going with the Airaid V2.

I think some technical intervention is needed here based on IAT ^.

Thats what I Thought too!!! Us Longtube freaks with the Injen are beasts!! LOL.......I wish it wasn't so hot this summer, so I could get a decent dyno. When I had my car dyno'ed stock, it was mid to low 80s with next to nothing in humidity, once I got all my mods done, it ended up being 90 degree weather with high humidity. Can't wait till fall comes around

Anyway......

BIG THANKS to Ted and Nick and the guys at Janetty, good to finally have some solid comparisons!

BTW Ted or Nick, could you provide the climate information for that day during the test? Exact would be nice, but ballpark will be fine too. Thanks

Also........I am absolutely impressed and happy, that CAI was able to match with Injen. Its nice to see an engine bay intake kicking ass like that. It's also nice to have that option for all our fellow owners who are living in the lowlands and have to deal with crazy floods Good job CAI and thank you Injen, for sustaining my faith in your engineering.

Agreed...which is why I mentioned the IAT relocation above. Think moving it to the box would work fine? I'd rather put it there, than the inlet tube itself.

Scrming tried it with the stock box and it worked awesome for him, so it would defintely enhance the Airraid.

Thanks Ted, Nick, Team Jannetty and the CAI Manufacturers who participated - this test lets us make a better informed decision.

While still leaning toward Cold Air Inductions kit you can't ignore the Injen gains across the range. With just lowering my Camaro via Pfadt coilovers I still have a hydrolock concern with Injen, especially as my ride is a four seasons daily driver in the Northeast.

Ted - I'll make my decision shortly and place an order with you guys doing the install - thanks for all the work...

Airaid v2 SHOULD BE PRAISED FOR THEIR BIG IMPROVEMENT AND FOR FREE TO EXISTING OWNERS.

Since I will not be at WOT at higher RPM's all too often, kudos to numbers for Airaid.

Thanks for doing this test! Is it time for new decals on HP, up from 312HP? LOL

First of all, a thank you to Jannetty, the cai manufactures and car donor for doing this test.

Could someone please explain the fuel trim numbers and what they mean? The CAI inc. has a number of +14, and the Airaid has a -4.
