It's painted on with a satin clearcoat.

I like the contrast between the green and black. Pretty friggin' sweet! I'll be in touch with you shortly about a windshield decal for mine.

I just purchased a 2011 LS A6 with front mats and spare tire. It is black on black. So far I have removed the beauty rings, rebalanced the wheels with stick on weights, installed a front grill bow-tie delete, removed the side emblems and rear bow-tie and replaced the shift knob with the leather one. Next I am going to add a K&N 63 series CAI.

Since everyone likes the synergy green and black combo, I just thought I would post this color change photoshop I did for someone a while ago. It may give someone some ideas.

Might also be cool to paint those trim rings green.

Lonestar,

I'm loving your wheels, where did you pick them up and what finish did you get? My LS is black and I'm wondering if the black finish is gloss or matte. Also just out of curiosity, what are the width of the steel heritage wheels? Did you lower your car too or is that stock? Looks amazing.

Thanks,

Chad

Thanks! I ordered them from discounttiredirect.com. They are Falken RT-7M 18"x9. The finish only comes in gloss black with machined spokes.

As cyberLS stated, the stock wheels are 7.5 inches wide and weigh 32.9 lbs each. I weighed the RT-7M's (on a bathroom scale, so maybe not completely accurate) and they were 26.8 lbs. The car is not lowered yet, but should be sometime this summer.

Here's a close up of the wheel before they were mounted:

Again, thanks for the compliments!

2010 LS A4 in Victory Red here! Paid $20,495 for mine with 1100 miles. Mine came with only the spare tire. Only mods I've done are added the Spectre CAI and Pypes Pypebombs axle-back exhaust. Suckers are loud and have some drone to them but if the drone doesn't die down, I'll probably do like alot of others and switch to a Flowmaster American Thunder axle-back.
