Finally Done It

And the end of nerve racking part.... Just gotta put the vent and drainage tray in an button the hood up and install on the car....

Ok now that all the hard work is done I'm thinking about painting the extractor screens/grills orange but undecided if I should leave the extractor the gloss obsidian black or shoot it to match the 1LE satin black?? Opinions wanted!!!

Hood looks good. IMO paint the grills.... It has not been done too much.

Extractor Install

I have a bowed section on both sides about midway of the extractor seems like metal is stretched.....any ideas?????

You may need to trim the opening a little. It may be hitting the extractor and not allowing the metal to go up all the way...

Or you may want to buy some 1" or 1.5" flat steel and epoxy it to the underneath side. to make the hood more rigid. I know some guys have done that. Good luck hope you figure it out.

I`ll try the stiffening braces and would putting 2 way tape work instead of epoxy???

It looks like the middle section of the hood needs to be trimmed. That's where the hood seems to be stressed

I'm about to do this but am confused on how to make the aluminum braces. They just pinch everything together?

Yes the give pressure from the underneath side to clamshell on the extractor. If you use the OEM rain tray it adds support also but be clear it restrics air flow unless you do the removable install with the toilet bolts as seen by Eddiefuzz (link below).
