Not sure the can even be seen or not but I drove to the gas station to top it off for the winters nap, about 4mi's each way and saw the waves coming out so I shot this.

Yea John, it's hard to see. If you concentrate on the curb across from my drive, where the street lawn meets the section of side walk you can see the ripples or waves. Look how there is a moving distortion. It also helps to turn your phone sideways to get a bigger view.
I had the Hex Vents on the last car and got same affect but I do like the OEM look and by design you can see how heat will flow out especially with air flow from up front and still not allow for the motor to get wet. I personally think it's a win win modification.

Like I said, I ran to get that super cheap gas while prices are low and we're talking total eight mile run so not super hot but still, heat waves were coming out. I recall driving to tour the Heritage Museum with the club, Indy NexGen and in Michigan it was cool but on the road from Indy to Novi, when stopped it was pouring out. Really something to see and anytime heat is being removed from the engine bay, it's a good thing whether moving or sitting still!

I didn't put the 2014 in instead did the ACS TL1. And it cools great. Ran the car hard put heat gun on motor right away. It showed 130 degrees lower before installed.

This is mine, as it came from GM in OEM satin black. Thought about paint but decided to leave as is. After moving the festival cars which were white last year at IMS, the grill on those came white which was okay but had it been me I would have covered the mesh and left it black allowing the main portion to be body colored. Yes it's time consuming and probably why it wasn't don't that way but the small things are what counts. Attention to detail.
