OK, finished the shake-down drive -- no issues @ all -- checked underneath for leaks or anything amis.

From the day I purchases this to now -- what a different car!

Now about those Recaro Seats -- humm gotta see if they are worth the upgrade or not (need to sit in them!)

Now, there are only a couple of parts on the suspension left -- front rear lower control arms (not radius arms) -- may look @ the Z/28's for that...

So put 100 miles on the new setup and safe to say the clicks are gone. It was very noticeable going Park to drive to reverse to drive. Looks like the washers fixed it. Everything is very smooth with the new shafts and getting on it proved it. Power delivery is awesome. Now to test out the MT et street 2s ;o)..

Quick update on the DSS Axles, Z/28 hubs, and new Axle washers...

300 miles since install, all clicks and noises are totally gone -- everything has broken in nicely and love the feel the car gives. With most of the suspension mods done (still may add the Z/28 front rear control arms), its time for alignment and driving!

Will be looking for a 'second' ZL1 blower to port and add the 2.50 pulley too. Will also be getting the ID 850's. If you know someone selling a used blower, send me a PM...

This car is running AMAZINGLY. LSX B8 or B15 is still in the works, but down the line. For now, this thing is fun to drive and is putting down the power nicely -- still need to do the DRs...

Got a question today on the 'ground' wire and dip stick so here are a couple of pic where I reloc ated the ground from the front of the head to the side.

I did have to 'grind' on the dipstick bracket just a little to get it to fit around the header. The bolt side of the ground stud had to be trimmed 3 or 4 threads to avoid 'bottoming' out. You'll notice on one of the pics I also had to grind the 'washer' part of the ground stud so it too would fit around the header:

Hope that helps!

Thanks!

Yep, its a long read as I loved doing this kind of work before...

Right now, this VVT SS1 cam is doing outstanding so I'm going to hold off until I really need to -- with 6 PSI and right @ 600 RWHP, hard to complain with the performance. The car is just running spectacularly -- if it ain't broke, don't fix it ;o) -- will probably wait to either do the LSX or Rebuild...

Tracking -- well, I was preparing to do all of that with this build -- but the Dr. has not cleared me for the 'effects' (I had injured my back years ago and the 'stress' is a concern to him) of racing so its on hold until they can be sure. Family has to be first ;o)

So much done and I'm starting to run out of 'things' on this one, it is an amazing car and can't be more pleased in how its turning out...

We'll see what's next!

Mine has the catless->Magnaflow x-pipe->Magnaflow axle-back

Nice tone and no drone -- I remove the resonator (big thing too) since I got rid of the AFM/DOD...

I've got the three inch, no cats, and I kept the x pipe. Still curious as to how yours sounds especially with the SC.

The headers really make it sound different. Sounds good man. I had kooks stepped headers, cat delete and borla s-type axle back. Had drone i didn't care for, but the sound was pretty unique. It really had one volume level. Thats what I like about the Magnaflow system, its civil at idle and screams at WOT! No drone.
