$425 no shipping or handling. But I was completely satisfied with the deal I got through Maureen. Not only did I get the one of the best cold air intakes on the market, I made a friend.

Just installed it in my 2011 LS3. Easy install. Just make sure you remove the red cap inside the tube before you fire it up

Like Ruebernard said you can save a few bucks at jegs, but the friendly service with Maureen is priceless

Oh hell no!!!! I figured that if it's an air intake there shouldn't be a block in the tube.....the car needs to breathe! This intake...minus the red cap rocks! Guys n'ladies it's understandable that you would want to get this baby installed ASAP but make sure you follow instructions.

Amen! For the record, it wouldn't fire...no air. Intake and car work great--no harm.

I literally took my time, no rushing, did it in a little over an hour. Just didn't think to look inside the tube for something to block the airflow. They put it there so the tube keeps it shape during shipping, my guess.

Well I finally finished my Z/28 CAI intake. I thought I would share a few pictures. The install was really easy actually. The only reason it took me a while to finish it is I wanted to find a nicer way to connect my 1LE oil separator to the PCV connection on the Z/28 Intake Elbow. I thought to myself what do they connect to elbow on the Z/28?

So I looked for pictures of the engine bay. I found the PCV tube and although I could not find the part number for it online I sent an e-mail to my friendly parts manager at Rodger’s Chevrolet (aka Maureen) with a picture of it and she found the part number for me. Fairly inexpensive (<$30). So I used the following 3 parts to route my PCV line in order to maintain the quick connects that the factory uses:

1. Stock 1LE Oil Separator tube cut down near the point shown by the blue line (Photo 1). This part is not available separately from GM and it is only available with the full 1LE Oil Separator kit (GM Part# 12653073). I was fortunate enough to find a member on here that sold me just the tube from their kit so I didn’t have to cut my stock one incase I ever need to revert back to stock.

2. Z/28 PCV tube - GM Part# 12653645 also cut down as shown by the blue line (Photo 2)

3. Dorman PCV elbow (Photo 3) found in Dorman Part number 46024 to connect the two GM PCV tubes together.

I also rotated the 1LE oil separator tube to the inside of the Oil Separator can to put the connection points closer together.

Well enough babbling here are the photos.

Were you able to flex it back to normal? Or is it FUBAR?

I like it, looks real clean! I was trying to come up of a way to make it a cleaner install, you beat me to it! Thanks!

As soon as I unscrewed the tube clamp and slid the tube back from the filter housing she went back to shape. Very pliable, soft rubber. The first pic I posted with the engine cover back on is how she looks now.

It's all good

One thing to note about my install is I removed my engine cover last year and don't plan to put it back on. I just prefer to see the actual engine even if there are more visible hoses, wires, etc. Plus I don't want any more trapped heat than necessary. So my PCV routing may not work as well for those that want to keep their engine cover on.
