"What all do you have in store for the V6's? I know you guys can pretty much do anything at your shop.

Probably a supercharger first.

do you suggest a race version for someone who only cruises on the weekend and never in the rain? I would be interested in the most amount of power.

When will this be available and how much? im ready to purchase a CAI now, just waiting to see what all you aftermarket guys are doing.

Here is an old pic of the before -

yeah you might want to repost this with the right title. ITS NOT A COLD AIR its more of a short ram. or better yet a custom intake sounds good. why is everybody doing the intake like that you are sucking in air off the frame why not find a spot where you are actually getting air from the outside straight into the the throttle body?

This cold air retains the factory wiper reservoir in the factory location which is slightly different than the one installed on Andy's LS-7 that has it removed. He has a couple more tweeks to do to his CAI box as the one installed today is a prototype. Andy took pics and said he will uplink them later today for all to see.

How does an aircleaner system change boost torque all the way from 2400 RPM to 6500 RPM? Your data looks like there was some shift or other changes that would cause that increase. It seems too good to be true. There is hardly any restriction at 2400 RPM, what caused this increase?

I don't care what anyone buys. Just said Hennessy= no washer bottle modifications that's all. I'm sure your CAI is fine.

Simple, if you get a cooler air charge into the motor and/or through the MAF, then the ECM will not pull timing like it does with the hotter underhood ambient HOT air. Not pulling timing is the key. And it really is too good to be true. Also that is why turbos and superchargers use intercoolers for much the same reason as their compressed air is much hotter than a NA motor. A 427 CI LS-7 motor like Andys benefits more than my stock 376 CI by a plus 30HP wheas my stocker picked up 18HP. Ask the tuners about air charge inlet temps and how it affects power? It is almost free HP.

SIMPLE - Timing is higher with our intake due to lower temps from the maf being in the air box.The factory and others put the Maf sensor just south of the radiator heat.

Observerved temps on the Hennesey Maf piping were north of 130 degrees.(evaluated by another party).

Ours are less due to Maf location and cooler air source.

Here is a timing reduction chart of a typical Gm vehicle-

My experience with tuning cars and dynoing cars shows that 6 degree reduction can reduce both Hp and tq by 10-13 rwhp.Other shops can verify this data as we do......and yes a simple edit in the tune can help as well.

Andy.....you freakin ROCK!

I noticed the plug in the air box from your pictures. It looks like it wouldn't be that easy to put it there but since you say the CAI is only an 20 min install I'm assuming you have a way to easily do it. I was wondering why the heck is he putting the plug in the air box when everyone else puts it in the tube??? Now it makes sense.

You watch....other CAIs are going to start doing the same thing.

I'd be interested in the street version of the air intake for a V6, if you decide to make one and can keep it priced competitively.
