Curious as to whether you will make one or two lids for the top. One to allow washer bottle neck to be exposed and another for off road use without any opening in the top? Also, is there a way to protect the plastic neck of the washer bottle?

2 Lids will be available. The race lid does not have the hole in it fr the waterbottle neck,The street lid has a hole with a 2" rubber grommet that seals to the bottles neck.

More pictures coming soon.

I am really interested in this one since it should not cause a warranty issue versus the one I was thinking of where I would have to move the radiator.

Did you get a L99 run yet?

If you remove the factory Airbox you will see around the water bottle there is the ground just below, you can also see in the grill area air has it's way of entering.

Our race version will get air directly from the lower grill area via an air scoop that is currently being tested for maximum performance,we have data showing that our actual air temp entering the maf at 55-65 mph is just 4 degrees over ambient, this is sigificantly better than the factory airbox that has been evaluated showing 10-13 degrees hotter than ambient at the same speeds.

If you look closely at the factory air box inlet it still gets air from the side of the radiator as well as air off of the condenser.

These temperatures can make a difference of 15 rwhp due to reduction in timing on a stock car.

Hope this helps

Andy,

The race version of your intake really interests me. I am on the vararam list but I like that the MAF and hence the IAT are isolated w/ your sealed box. I know on the G8 forum they complain about IAT`s w/ the Vararam but it still makes great power. I`m thinking if yours makes similar power it might be better for me as I`m going the Whipplecharger route once they have it ready and I think your intake location will probably work w/ some tweaking to the piping, I`m positive the Vararam won`t work w/ said blower, and would have to be changed out. I have a L99, thats why I want to go the screw style route makes power lower than a centrifical ala no high reving LS3 to take advantage of the high rpm power derived from say a procharger.

So how soon will the race version w/ the scoop be ready roughly? Rough pricing? Finish avail? Piping material?

Thanks in advance!
