That's what I suspected. A log of a run like that would reveal the spark knock at that point in the curve and the tuner could add some fuel in that area to correct that issue. But if someone just emails their stock tune and doesn't follow up with proper WOT logs that includes fueling, spark knock, shift points, and wideband AFR, more than likely a bit of power and performance will be left on the table.

I am assuming it was but I don't know for sure because I don't know Axis Real name to look it up.

Absolutely

Logging is what separates a Mail tune from a Remote tune.

You have to admit to get within 3-4% without any Wide Band Logging or Dyno time is not to bad.

Had you Logged with a Wide Band and or put it on the dyno and sent me the Data We could Certainly have Nailed it for you.

Congrats, Your in Good Hands.

Ted.
Based on this I think I am going to datalog and send you the info so you can Nail my JRE tune.

Datalogging is beneficial for sure and can resolve problems. The other side of datalogging however is that you send enough and the right parameters and they are deciphered properly on the other end.
BUT...Nothing beats an onsite dyno and street tune however. And Rhino tuned parameters that weren't even touched in the tune.
Ted you can pm axis. I can't or I would help. LOL
We all discussed it, and this thread isn't meant to bash or attack...just information, that's it.

Be glad to Help.

Add an AEM Wide band and SCT fire wire to gather AFR Data via your SCT X3

Ted.

How is a tune that is running lean with spark knock better then the factory tune?

Also did they look at the trans tune?

Why would he have sent it to you?

This is a thread about Axis, GPI and rhino.

Is GPI/Rhino the only one tuning the VVT tables on L99s (with a stock cam)?

You guys are scaring me. Been lurking for a couple weeks. I was all set to call jre for an sct and tune. I already have lt's and cai intake. Is the problem just with the sct device? Should I wait and just travel to jre for dyno tune when time permits? Its a good ride but doable. What am I missing here. Dont know much about this tuning stuff.

I don't know if he is the only one, but I know the former tune did NOT have it done.

I assure you there is nothing generic about remote tuning.

Ted, did SCT ever get that software issue resolved on being able to unlock a Circle D converter at WOT?
