Well, I could also buy a GTR and put bigger turbos and a COB on it. It isnt really about the project or the speed, I just want my car back. I had it for so long and I put so much work into it, it's just worth it to me to find THIS car.

I could understand that. I think a lot of people on this forum would feel the same way too if they had to sell their Camaro. Good luck on your search and keep us posted.

I'm tempted to contact him, but I dont think I need to do that yet. This guy once found a guys car that was a 29 Model A gasser. He found it with nothing more than a old drag time slip and a bill of sale. He found the car 3,000 miles away from where it was originally sold. he's good.

I doubt I could afford to buy it back even if I could find it now....
Anyway I have 0 information except the year I bought it and the year I sold it and to whom.

What makes you think it is for sale? Why do you think the new owner would be willing to sell it? Just because you have money, it doesn't mean you get what you want.

Because I want the car back. I'm not just going to sit here and say "I really want that car, but man, i doubt the new owner will sell it. oh well". I'm going to find it anyway and find out. If the new owner really just WONT budge, then I guess I cant have it back. But it's worth it to me to find out. If I never find the owner I'll never know. I'm not just going to let a possible opportunity to get this car back slip by me.

Use an online search. If the car still has the same plates, run em and find out who he is.

I also know how you feel. Sold my truck and when I saw the guy a year later I tried to buy it back, unfortunately he didn't want to sell it. Offered him way more than he paid but no deal. Next time I see him I will try again lol
