It will not come off if installed properly (..........well........that and you don't hit something with it!!!)
So improper/rushed curing is probably the culprit?

Awesome answer. Im feeling that some dealers are rushing the install and just using the tape and then turning the cars loose and not letting it cure. If I know GM they used 3M double side tape and that is some of the best stuff in the world.

Soooo how will the dealer handle this screw up?

I thought there was a recall on the GDFX for this same reason. . .

The recall was confirmed by a dealer in the other thread.

First of all I am honored you posted in my thread

Secondly, The car sat fully prep'd for over a week. They should have been cured by then... The car has never been parked even remotely close to a parking block. The damaged was noticed as the car was pulled into the garage after being on the freeway.

Thirdly, a member on my local board (mifbody.com) suggested I bring the piece and all associated parts (rivets) to the Meet and Greet this Saturday to show you. See you then.

This is my first post as I have just signed up here. I am a proud owner of a fully optioned out 2010 Camaro 2SS/RS. There are a few pictures of it below. I have a problem tho and am wondering if I can find my answer here. The front GFX piece came loose in the center under normal highway wind loads and was dragged for miles before I brought her home and noticed it. It was hanging down in the middle and worn through. It was still attached on the sides because of the clips and bolts but all the double stick adhesive was only stuck to the GFX piece, not the front fascia. I've been working with the dealership when I can to figure this dilema out. Well last night I met another 2010 SS owner with GFX and he said his are the "new design" his were not on his car, as they were being painted black to match his black car. He said his does not have a "underbelly" like mine did. And it is attached differently. As far as I can tell from looking at the dealership installation manual for the GFX, mine were installed properly to GM specs. Well that's fine, but it doesn't work!!! I've heard that others on this board are starting to have the same problem.

Can anyone shed some light on this topic for me???
If you do a search on here you will find a few other owners who are having similar issues with the front ground effects nose piece. Is sounds like this has occurred to several other people who order the GFX package and received the cars "EARLY".

BTW, That is one extremely nice looking ride. THAT RJT is incredible looking.
Sorry you are having these issues but I am sure your dealer can get it corrected for you!

Well thank you very much! I'm starting to see a trend here... Anyone want a desktop size picture (3XXXpx by 2XXXpx)? And I guess I should get some more pictures this weekend when she's all clean for the show. There should be 4 other 5th gens there and hopefully we can get a group pic!

Simply stupendous!! I owned a 1987 candy apple red Camaro. It was a daily driver. I sure do like that red jewel tintcoat. When I do order, that will be the color I get. It reminds me of the candy apple. Looks like you are as picky as I am when it comes to a clean car. I just hate to drive my 68 camaro for fear of getting it dirty : )
