You might want to modify that image, as your license plate is still pretty clear to read.
Plate in the windshield? How is that legal? |

CAUTION
With the plate/bracket in the lower position, it MAY restrict air from "properly cooling" mechanical systems. IF you plan to tow, or run HPDEs, or otherwise "tax" your cooling system, you may want to remove the plate during those times... Towing a trailer, with an A6, through the Mojave this summer, at warp speed, might not be recommended. But it sure does look great! |

I did something very simular but I just turned the bracket upside down so that it was not on the upper part of the bumper at all. Just a couple of zip ties and some 3M foam weather striping to pad the bracket from rubbing on the paint. I like the butterfly ties better than the zip ties so if I take mine off I will use your set up next time.

I dunno..I think between both grille, there should be enough airflow. Plenty of other cars have plates that partially block the lower grille.

I did the install with the zip ties and turned the bracket upside-down. Don't really trust the zip ties, so will go with toggle bolts for more security at a later time. I like the look of the bracket with the lower placement. It frees up the look of the bumper and still gives a cleaner look. Just my opinion.
