Never heard of MGW before but from what I've seen so far and with the recommendation from Hennessey I’m VERY interested. Especially if you keep it around the $300 range (which is probably going to be hard to do).

Looking on your site and seeing the other shifter knobs I hope you will have the White or Black ball shifter knobs available. I would be interested in your Gripper and First Strike knob but I would really want to feel them in my hand before I could make that decision. If I were to buy a Gripper, First Strike, and standard Ball knob would you let me return the two I decided against?

BTW: seeing that you have patterns that you can put in the Gripper and First Strike and the fact that the shift pattern is on the Camaro console, my suggestion would be to have an “SS” insert for the knobs or maybe just a blank insert that didn’t have anything on it.

Subscribed to this thread and waiting.

This looks great... esp since it appears that the HURST short throw option is gonna be a long wait!!!

George, do you have any idea of the reduction % in throw your shifter will have?

I think I like the stock shift knob or a white one with the red SS for my SS/RS. There is no need for a shift pattern it is on the console.

hey man hows it going the hurst unit looks VERY good !!! hope things dont get goofy like they had for awhile on the mustang forums. Customers from both sides can get PRREETTTTYYYY defensive about brand loyalty but wanted you to know i have utmost respect for the Hurst company and the brand.

will you guys be coming out with the white and black shift knobs with an SS logo anytime soon. the 6 speed pattern is already on the dash. i tlaked to Chris M. about it a while back but havent heard anything ?

regards
george

I apologize for never hearing about MGW before this, but I have read up on the products now and believe it will be great
we do installs at our shop if local. but most people do it themselves or have a tuner shop install it.

to be honest i am not sure as i have not measured the stock throw since i ripped that sucker out of there about 2 hours after the car arrived. but i think it is a near perfect thorw legnth as any shorter and i think it will be too notchy.

i will however measure the 1-2 throw when i get it all buttonede back up tomorrow and let you guys know...

ok guys,

here is a VERY rough pic of the main body assembly.... all pieces but the top base cap are unplated right now but will be hard coat anodized obviously for production. as you can see this is an ENTIRE replacement for the factory shifter!!!!! i am running 25 initial run units and will ost details in a week about whats the deal on them....

not shown are the shifter knob mounting brackets which will obviously be available for use with BOTH the STOCK knob and aftermarket knobs!!!!!

YESSSSSSSS you can use your stock knob!!!!! lol!!!!

and the rear pin support bracket...i am machining my own with special hi temp bushings in them as the stock one is too flimsy and soft.

ill show the whole shifter in FULL detail in about 1 1/2 weeks when all the pieces care back from the platers.

regards
george
