The trip to Atlanta may be the last time Bonnie rides in my car. She was nauseas the whole way. Had to stop frequently. She just sat too low. Kept getting car sick.

My wife, 5'5", commented on the low seat, challenges of seeing over the dash, but loved the car. She usually gets sick when I take her through the twists and turns "aggressively" but was extremely comfortable in the Camaro. Potential for future power passenger seat would be an awesome feature. GM is paying attention... just give them a chance

I am 5'5" and I also find the passenger seat too low. I am definitely gonna go for a fix once they do their homework. When driving I have the seat almost at full height for the best visibility. GM needs to know that our present passengers are potential future owners ... gotta make them luv the ride too!!
There's an oh s@!t handle in every car it's also the driver's right thigh!

Simple: We showed the Camaro Concept on January 9, 2006 -- the world, for the most part, went nuts over it.

One thing was made perfectly clear as a lot of people yelled (in unison)

"It's PERFECT! DON'T SCREW IT UP, GM!!!"

.......and so there were many arguments and threats over lowering the cowl -- or raising the roof -- or both --

.........but the community at large said "Make it look JUST LIKE the concept!"

.........and I think we did a remarkable job of doing just that.

Thanks,

RetroDude
It's not quite that simple to put spacers under the seat - -(again, those pesky 800 sensors...)

I am hoping we can offer a retro-kit. (Mom Settlemire has threatened to 'ground' the entire team until we do....)

We would have to offer two different kits -- as cloth seats do not have heaters -- leathers do.....there IS a difference!

More to come.

I'm glad they kept it just like the concept. The only thing is they should have given a bit more thought to the option of raising and lowering the passenger seat - then there wouldn't be the dash or cowl height issues.

And yes we know for every additional device added, it adds more to the cost. And while some will say, but its only $X dollars, that cost has to include development and testing, plus it takes years to payback....

Thanks for the info and perspective Fbodfather. I get the fact that the looks are popular with everyone. Personally, i always thought the front end, and fender lines were too tall. The tall dash is the result/ poor visbility is the result.

We rented an LT on a trip several weeks ago and my wife found the passenger seat too low. We "borrowed" a couple of towels from the hotel for her to sit on and that solved the problem.

So far she finds the passenger seat in our new SS a little low but not as bad as it was in the rental. My solution is I ordered aa yard of the matching orange seat leather from the dealership and my arts and crafty mother will make a pillow for the passenger seat.

I'm 6'3" and my wife is 5'5" and one of the first things she said when we first drove the car was "I can't see out of this thing" and since I have no problem my reply was "Well grow up then" For the most part we're back on speaking terms. Ok, kinda kidding here but she does have a problem seeing. I don't know why the passenger seat is not fully adjustable like the drivers seat but believe there needs to be an option for those wanting\needing more height adjustment.

If the 2011's are to have fully adjustable passenger seats, could there not be some kind of deal offered to those of us with 2010's who wished to change to a newer better design?

This is just sad that people can't see out of it. And actually the seats in the 5thgen are higher up than the 4thgen to begin with. I was at a car show recently with 4th and 5th parked next to each other, and i wanted to check that out.
