OK, I figured out the firgure in Edelbrock's price file is the shipping "volume". Based on not just the actual weight but the diamensions of the box too. Enough on that.

Slim you are doing a terriffic job of documenting your install. thank you very much for the efforts.

So I spoke to SCT this morning. Long story short the hand held programmer needs to be sent back so it can have a serial number programmed in to it. With out the serial number of the unit installed in the unit it is useless. So I am waiting for Stillen to call me back and see how they are going to resolve this quickly. In the mean time I contacted Kirk at Vector Motorsports and he was more then happy to send me a "SAFE" tune to use to be able to start the car and run it. Thank you Kirk!!! I have installed the Vectors tune and have the car running. I brought it up to operating tempture, checked for leaks and then Data logged the ECM to check the fuel trims. The fuel trims are a little rich so it is trying to pull fuel out of the system. Which is ok with me I would rather have it rich then lean. I also spoke to Chris @ East Coast Supercharging this morning and I am now scheduled to get on his Dyno Wednesday at 12.00 to get my full dyno tune and really see what this thing can do. I will not have a intake tube to be able to Dyno the car with my Rotofab CAI. So I will dyno with the stock intake with Edlebrocks cover that was in the kit.

Slim2SS, glad to hear the car is running, not happy to hear that you dont have it running with an edelbrock tune. I think everyone that has this supercharger on order is watching your thread.

I'm glad to see the boys at ECS doing the tune. Great people there (except Chris ) J/K

Well everyone here is my update for today, I think I have gone as far as I can untill the dyno tune is done.

Edlebrock overnighted me a new tuner with a pre loaded tune on it for the E-Force. The tune installed no problem and the car is now running on there tune not the Vector tune I used yesterday. Car started right up and seems to run well. I took it out for a drive and no problems. I did not run it hard enough to bring on the boost as I want to wait to get it on the dyno to make sure all is okay.

I spent the morning working on and talking to Roto Fab on there CAI. I think i have a very easy solution to the alignment problem of the tube. All I did was take out the six screws that hold the plastic pipe to the metal housing and rotated it about 180 degrees. This puts the Roto Fab a perfect alignment with the throttle body mounted on the supercharger. The rubber hose supplied with the E-Force kit dropped right in place and mated rite uo to the Roto Fab. ( see picture). when you do this it moves the MAF sensor from the 9:00 postion to about the 1:00 postion. I spoke to Roto Fab and the dyno tuner and they both said it shouldnt make a difference. I sent Pics to Roto Fab this morning and I am waiting for them to look at it and see what they think.

One thing I noticed today while driving the car is the cast iron engine covers that come with the kit rattle around and make noise that you can hear at normal driving. I am going to address this issue with them. They only use two rubber grommets to hold them in place and they are located in the middle of the cover so the nose of the cover that wraps around the front of the supercharger is flapping in the wind.

Well tomorrow is the big day for the dyno. I am scheduled to be on the dyno tomorrow at 12:00 at East Coast Supercharging. I dont think I am going to sleep a wink tonight. It will be great to see what this unit does with the CAI, Kooks long tubes , High flow cats and a full 3" Magnaflow exhaust.

If anyone has any questions please feel free to ask!!!

Are you going to dyno it with the Edelbrock tune?

No. Because the Edlebrock tune does not take in to acount the existing mods done to the engine. I would have to think that the car is running lean rite now with the CAI and the edlebrock tune.

Can you list the details of the other mods you have done to the car? I see you have headers. Curious of the pipe size.... and what else was done to exhaust, etc.

Thanks

Slim2SS,

Great news about the CAI from Rotofab. My guess is edelbrock's tune is on the rich side, so if you have the supercharger plus just the CAI, it might be close to perfect.

I still hope rotofab comes up with something, because i dont like MAF on top (just because of looks).

I have 1 7/8" Kooks Jet hot coated long tube headers, Kooks high flow cats, Full 3" Magna flow Stainless Steel ehaust with X pipe and Competition mufflers, and a Roto Fab CAI.

I dont like the look of it either. I sent plenty of pics to Roto Fab today and spoke to them on the phone. I am sure they are going to come up with a new pipe so that the MAF is returned ti its original location. But I would rather live with the look for now so I can get the most out of the dyno tune untill they come up with one. Also Stillen told me that Edlebrock is making there own CAI for the E-Force and it should be available in 3 to 6 weeks. Trust me I am not holding my breath onb them.

I totally agree that it looks very poor and amaturish. However, the good news is that Rotofab can take your configuration and make a magnacharger intake from what they already have in house, just relocate the MAF sensor on the aft side of the intake. Everything else looks fine. Good Luck

Thanks for all the hard work. In the meantime i can still use my rotofab when mine comes.
