into 6th: 45

This will keep the engine at 1000 rpm and anything below that I feel lugs the engine too much. Shifting at these points has gotten me 25 mpg.
Funny I have this exact same shift pattrn. I actually follow it to like its some sort of reulation hahaha. I shift to 5th though at 35 instead of 30 though.

I skip 3rd and 4th and go from 2nd to 5th at about 35mph in town. Of course, that's for cruising only...if I need to accelerate, I downshift into 2nd or 3rd. When I'm honking on it, all of that changes.

I shift mostly by the sound of the rpms. With my MRT 2.0 it makes it easier to hear with the sweet sound of that exhaust. If I ever shift below 3k it is rare. I never cruise lower than 2k without downshifting. 2200 to 2500 seems to be a good spot for me. Computer says my avg mpg is 19.4.

6th gear is only for 70+mph for me.

I haven't gone over 6k yet as I just turned 1500 and swithced over to Mobil 1 synthetic.

I can't say I base my driving on trying to save gas but that is just me.

Having said that, I tend to drive for economy whenout on the highway. Yeah, I love the power, and use it when appropriate. (Which is a very subjective criteria.- Basically when I need a speed rush.)

It is basically how I can achieve 26.8 mpg on many of the Interstates around here.
My target shift range is around that in my truck. I'll probably stick with that when I get my Camaro in a week. I look forward to getting 6 more MPG on the highway with 275 more HP.

I get the 1-4 indicator all the time, but it doesn't bother me. I just wait til it goes away (for the rpm's to drop) and then go into 2nd. It only seems to come on when I'm slowly crawing into 2nd. Up hills or or just putting pressure on, I don't see it.

Not bothering with the skip-shift-eliminator... the stock setup just keeps things interesting. And if I wanna "hammer-down"... it doesnt get in the way.

Highway: under 2.
I learned in my Wrangler that under 2 saves me about a quarter tank of fuel on a 4hr trip. Not sure what the fuel savings in the Camaro is under 2, but it's gotta be a benefit.
