Regardless of what he told you, i'd love the opportunity to ask him a question or ten. Must have been great to be able to speak your minds to Chevrolet brass. And as for the last 20 posts, no supercharger does not mean no Z/28!

Okay so we all know that there is NO Z28 Model camaro coming out. It's either LS,LT, or SS with RS packages available one some.

Now with that being said a Chevy turning ...... 100? In 2011. Do you think it's possible they could be holding off on the Z28 to make it a Anniversary edition camaro with some badass V8 that'll shame the other V8 cars?

I personally believe that this is the case behind no Z28 and the anniversary being so close they can smell it. If I'm wrong it won't be the first time lol. So jab away ladies and gents, I am very interested to see what other people think of this idea.

I think they were just making the Z28 (if it's in prepro. . .which depending on who you ask it is) a limited production model. no one even thought for a second that whatever the top dog was would be out the SORP (start of regular production). but with the whole 2011 thing it's possible that it would be an anniversary edition. but I know that's not why it's not out yet. . .

Makes total sense.

I predict a supercar hybrid! NOT JOKING! That's what they are saving it for!

When Ed was questioned about the Z28 he answered and went into the hybrid technology in common cars and possibly supercar applications part of the presentation.

Super high performance flagship automobile. Z28 that rules all. 800+hp an electric motor on each wheel and some awsome powerplant under the hood.

I do think a Z28 will be announced sometime in 2011 after the Camaro helps GM regain a lot of what its lost over the years... The sharing of technology with Ford is a good thing and will help the company lower R&R costs. I do see a Pontiac Firebird revival in a few years as well once the Camaro sales slow down.. 2013 perhaps... You can quote me on these predicitons in 4 years from now

I still wonder ... still no official statement ... why would I trust them? I mean, they are in an industry of sharks. I have no objective reason not to trust'em, but I have no reason to trust'em neither.

the problem is, no matter what is said, no matter who says it (and that even includes the Fbodfather himself), someone out there is going to pretend like they know more than you do... and that's just annoying to me... because none, I repeat, NONE of the people who are on the Camaro or Z28 focus groups, design teams, brand managers, marketing managers or ANYONE related to the car has come in here and said, "the Z28 is dead"... not a ONE of them... and here we are still talking about speculation because someone had breakfast with a guy who could be being misquoted? we know the Z28 isn't slated for production yet, therefore there are no production "plans"... every single project at GM is being looked at and is potentially on the chopping block right now... we already know all about that, right? so why are we still talking about it? its pointless... its a waste of bandwidth... GM knows we want a Z28... they know it VERY well... the demand is outrageous... but this is neither the time nor the place to be hawking Magnuson superchargers just because someone misquoted a GM exec.
