Cars would be very boring if everything on them was purely for function.
actually, I figured it out. The mail slot is functional, but its function is only to enhance the appearance of the Camaro.

do u rEALLY THINK THERE Will be a z28 i mean not to wreak ur dreams but gm is a dying company right now why would the produce a 60000 dollar car when they already have corvettes and you know it will cost that much because a zo6 is like 68000 with 505 hp no super charger so u know it will be like 60000 at least

GM is not dying either... if GM was dying, and you apply your definition of "dying" to other companies, all the other companies out there would be dying too (which of course are not). Next, yes Z06 is expensive but its a "Corvette", just like a "Cadillac", they are expensive vehicles. "Camaro" is known for affordable power. An engine transplant (from CTS-V) and a few suspension upgrades will be an affordable monster compared to other vehicles. Though a Corvette will almost certainly beat a Camaro with similar power. Corvettes are built to whoop ass no matter what. ...and the hood scoop is functional (appearace wise). |

I hate fake scoops too. Myself and others here told GM repeatedly: Make it functional, or make it disappear. They insisted on leaving the fake mail slot. On the other hand, the Camaro has a long history of fake scoops, including the "faux rear brake vents" on the 1969 Camaro the 2010 is patterend after. Even funnier, I thought those '69 rear slits were for styling accent only, they don't even resemble a real vent. That being said, nostalgia has caused the rear fake vents to grow on me. The front mail slot makes me want to ![]() I may cut it open for general underhood cooling, or paint it body color to make it almost disappear.

The Z28 would be a direct competitor to the Shelby GT500. I would expect the Z28 to be less than $45k.
