to the best of my knowledge they are still being built for 2010 MY

Anyone know if Ford still makes the GT500's...if so, are they not facing the same government pressures?

Yes, the and the 2010 GT500 has 540 hp. But the pressure that GM is facing is for 2015-2020. Plus, the GT500 was not availible in 2005 or 2006. Ford made their money on the regular mustangs then came out with the special one.

At the very least, i would love GM to offer the Hot Cam engine as an option from the factory so i dont have to tear into the motor. At that point i will just do the exhaust and intake upgrades and get my 500hp.

Might as well write that check out to GMPP for the LS9. Wouldn't hold my breath for a factory Z/28.

How many here who are asking GM to build the car, would actually buy it? Are you willing to pay 40k for an LS9 Camaro? Doubt half of those asking would actually buy it.

It would be in the price range of the Shelby. 40k would be a steal for the type of power that you could get out of the supercharged motor.

Only $40K for an LS9 car??? I, for one, would pay for an LS9 Z28 north of $50K!! No doubts!! Waiting for ZR1 market to settle at MSRP in the meantime.
