Plug in tire
Need opinions I have plug repair on my rear tire trofeo dead center. My question would this be safe to race at road track?

I'm sure it would be safe, if it's a good quality plug and since it's center of the treads.
However... the chance of a blowout and wreck are not worth the cost of a tire to me. I wouldn't track the car with a plug unless it happened on the racetrack and I had no other option.

if it was a standard Plug - No Way!
I buy all my tires from Tire Rack and they have Road Hazard Warranty standard. I never used it til last week. I had 2 screws in the center. I called Tire Rack & it was warranteed with a check in hand. They re-imbursed me for both the tire & shipping |

I would say a professionally done plug/patch combo would be okay, a standard plug not at all.
