Used ZL1 Questions
We are thinking about upgrading our Synergy green SS to a '13 ZL1 and I have a few questions. I know the SS has been a very reliable car, what about the ZL1? What are things to look for that may fail or cause trouble? We are looking at a '13 coupe, 1 owner, less than 20k miles and it seems like a well optioned car. Asking price is $33,500, tires are brand new and it appears to have been regularly maintained at the dealer, does this sound like a fair asking price? What about the mag ride shocks, how long do they last? Any abnormal issues with them? I heard something about a 10 year warranty from Chevy on the supercharger, does that only apply to the original owner?
Thanks in advance for any tips or advice. Last edited by cadyshac; 02-17-2019 at 08:40 PM. |

$33.5 seams like a good deal. I paid $33k from a dealer on my 13 zl1 convertible with 19k miles. check to see if the supercharger was replaced. warranty stays with the car.

We missed out on the ZL1 we were thinking about. We are in no hurry to get rid of the SS but it is L99 and we would like to get a manual. The wife traded the '13 LS3 on a new Wrangler back in the fall. It was a great car but we both grew tired of the Blue Ray (black) color.

Have you done anything to the L99?

Yes, cold air intake, long tubes, full ZL1 NPP exhaust, no cats and a tune from Janetty Racing. The car runs great and is a beast for spirited driving, we've never tracked or raced it. Just something about rowing your own that we both like.
