Brian tooley racing is what I installed. Big question is are you going to stay naturally aspirated or are you going to go boost?

Comp Cams XFI Street/Strip High RPM Camshaft package from www.phastekperformance.com . Opted for the BTR valve springs with titanium retainers! I am considering this camshaft package when I finally do my rebuild!

Definitely should give the guys at GPI a call. Not only do their products dominate the fast all-motor list, but their customer service is first rate - they really work hard to make their customers happy. They spend a lot of time and energy continuing to develop their products - they continue to update and enhance their grinds! They have great options from mild to max-effort. I encourage you to do your homework and check with a few different vendors for what works best for you, but I think you'll find GPI as your top pick once you do.

Also having seen my share of timing chain failures at higher mileage. Replacing your timing chain and sprocket at 100K+ miles would be a necessity.

i would call GPI or Cam Motion and tell them what your plans are with the car, race weight, gearing, trans setup and have them grind one made specifically for your car. They'll select the matching springs as well. As far as the package, its cheap insurance to go with new cam/crank gears, C5.R timing chain, and a high volume oil pump
depending on the mileage of the engine, and how much spin, new lifters. a lot of guys overlook the benefits/importance of quality lifters. You can go with chevrolet performance #12499225 at minimum or go with some johnsons if you want a bit better quality. If you're girl is gonna be a screamer and about that 7500 to 8000 life, jonshon race
