If it were around $20k, I'd try to get another loan in a heartbeat. Track car!

While I think $35k is too high, even with a rough rating, the car still has an NADA retail of around $33,750. NADA loan value is almost $28k. I think you guys valuing it at $20k are way off. There's no way the dealer only gave the previous owner $20k for it. If that car was traded in here, it would be closer to NADA loan value, depending on what the car needed in reconditioning.

It'll bring well over $20k at auction.

$30K. And I think it's a good candidate for a super daily driver car.

NADA, KBB, dealerships... still subjective value being given for the car, just as much as people saying "$20k".

All the data they're using on 2014/2015 sale prices are via cars 20k mi or less cars being sold. This 110k mi car is an outlier. Outside of the bell curve. Some algorithm comes up with pricing via NADA, KBB. Hence why the NADA tool says a 2015 Camaro Z/28 with only 1 mile is worth $44,000

Meanwhile either car (both outside of the bell curve of sales) is worth whatever the most someone is willing to pay (uneducated consumer could really be taken advantage for either).

As someone that's been in the business for 20 years, I can say with 100% confidence that the car is worth quite a bit more than $20k.

It’s only worth what anyone will pay for it. Twenty years in the business? You also know there’s a sucker born every minute and one of them is gonna buy that money pit.

You’re spot on. Wholesale on the car is $28-30k sight unseen.

Regardless of the asking price or the sale price - it is just nice to see someone bought a Z/28 and drove it daily and put 110k miles on it! Great test bed for all of us on reliability of the car. I would be very happy to get 110k out of mine, with as few issues as the original owner on this car.

Hats off to him for using his car and getting a fair exit and on to something new! He got his money's worth and all the enjoyment he could ever ask for from his Z. It is way to rare to see cars like this get purchased and driven - I love it when I see someone who did.
