Like many members my garage is my "safe" haven that gives me the greatest comfort when life goes south. Before relocating to NC during 2012 we owned a large farm in the State of Maine... OMG did I have it made, like the old saying; "you don't know what you have until you loose it"! On the property we had one two level 5 bay garage (22'X60') behind that another garage 18'X50', the heated maintenance garage was 18'X32'. This does not take into account the main barn that I could park two vehicle down the center isle. One day while shopping the wife wanted to know why in God's name was I buying another coffee pot? Told her it was for the maintenance garage so I wouldn't have to leave it when working. I also had a comfortable chair that at times I would kick back with a cup of coffee and just admire the cars. I can still hear CCR in the background!

"I want more pics of the Bandit"

OK - a few
Original Owner, custom ordered in 1977, rare hard top Bandit, one of 384 with Pontiac engine, 4sp, and Y81 hard top. No "T" Tops cause the one's I looked at in the Dealer lot 42 years ago were leaking - it was raining at the time. A billion hours spent in the Man Cave Garage wrenching away over many years on this beloved piece of iron. The young lady is my niece, a photographer, of course not even born when I purchased the car.

Hot damn...that T/A just rocks my boat!!

My house was a 3br 2bath with a 2 car garage.
That WAS my mancave...before the twins were born.
Now, my former cave is an additional 2 bedrooms and a bath.

I do have a 12' X 14' airconditioned shed under a live oak tree canopy.
Isnide is a scale model toy SS inside I love to admire!

I remember when all I had was an 8x10 shed. At least I could keep the HD out of the elements. Now it’s a detached 2 car, overstuffed with 2 cars and 2 harleys. The DD sits in the driveway year round and it isn’t the SS.
The detached part is the caveat. Keeps the other half out of the way, which is needed on those wrenching days.

Bandit envy here, one of the nicest I've ever seen. Simply amazing and rare you've taken such care of it over the years!

I could not agree more. when the job is a pain and life in general just has me tired I head for the garage and like you smile and begin to tinker. A little classic rock in the background with a few cold ones and I am ready to hit the world again. Kudos to the 77 bandit, I have a black 78 with the T's, they thankfully have never leaked. She is in storage at my brother's garage, probably won't get out of there until next spring. Have a nice weekend all!!!

A few days ago I sat in my garage on a hot summer evening, sipping Coke, listening to music, watching the beautiful silhouettes of two Camaros hidden under the sheet.
I felt great, and with a smile on my face, I thought the world here in my garage was still O.K. Only I make the new floor and will be fine.

I am glad that I am not alone in this and others have same feelings

(To Hesster... Very nice 2 gen. Camaro )

Although small, but my world

I don't spend nearly as much time in my garage as I did before my ex-wife left.
