I saw this a few weeks ago and try not to use full cold now but I found that 2 notches off full cold and I am blowing warmer air. I am using the 1 notch now. At 1 it still seems full cold.

I'm thinking just not using max air may solve our problem .

I'm afraid nothing is going to solve it unless you disconnect the actuator.

I don't know but in the video it sure puts a lot of torque on the door on the max air setting .

Wonder how hard it would be to turn it into a manual. I usually only use full hot full cold and about 1/3

is there a way to change the calibration of what the servo turns to when selecting max? Going by the video it seems like it's just the feedback angle the computer is programmed to look for in the max position is just too high, either by poor calibration or programming. So theoretically in that case if someone had access to specialty scan tools (like a dealer or independent shop) to talk to the BCM or whatever, couldn't you just change the calibration so that instead of Max being say 100° it's 85 or 90?
Or at worst you could map of the values the HVAC controller uses to control the servo, intercept the output with a micro controller, use it interpret what position the driver is commanding and send your own signal to the servo with whatever calibration you desire.
