2 Stage Paint Correction on black Z28
My first 2 stage with the help of the gentleman over at NXT Level Detailing in Tustin, CA. In went through a 3 day training with them where I got to correct / coat my own car. Incredible experience. I gained a TON of respect for guys who do this work everyday. I have a giant shopping list of products and tools I want now for my home garage. I used shine supply products and rupes machines. Lots of 1” and 3” work on this car. I’m happy with the end result and thought I would share!
This Z/28 is living the good life these days!

Looks awesome.
Question - how did you get it to stick to the roof for the wash? |

Looks amazing.
I had a stage 1 paint correction with C Quartz finest reserve ceramic coating applied after. I also have a black Z/28. Came out great. Z/28 modern day pro touring muscle car. Timeless classic IMO.

I mostly used the 21mm Rupes Big Foot machine on the 5 and/or 6" pads. I used the Rupes 15mm Mini Big Foot for the 3" work. I used a handheld electric orbital (didn't catch brand) for the 1" work. Yes, ONE INCH. Our cars need a fair bit of that to get it perfect due to all the body lines / angles on the hips, doors and bumpers. With the proper training and understanding of the do's and dont's, this really isn't technically difficult to perform but MAN is it a TON of work. I'm glad I did it, but I will likely either being doing a dumbed down version on my black raptor or paying someone else to perform it.

These days it's not worth detailing a Car because we have so many Haters around willing to key your nice paint job. Did we already forget what we saw on tv (race riots) ?

I have thought about wrapping my truck a few dozen times as its a daily and sits outside, but there is just something about a big black pickup that I love.
