Right, because we Californians all know this is caused by LS swaps into 69 Chevelle’s.

The state now needs to check for modified software because so many people are cheating the smog system. It wasn’t that big a deal when only a few people were doing it. Now days you can pretty much expect everyone with a modified car has illegally modified software and mod parts that aren’t carb compliant.

People from here know how bad the smog is. Los Angeles is a giant basin and all the smog gets trapped in by the mountains that surround the city. On most days I can’t even tell there are mountains 30 minutes from my home.
Yep here in Ontario Canada we had strict emissions in place for years. The tuners simply set the moniters to "ready" And no engine light. Full bolton cammed cars had no issues

I live in LA, have a cam swap and muffler delete and I have never had problems. I drive over 15,000 miles through LA every year. My car is so loud I have considered putting mufflers back on it. It has passed smog every time.

So do you have a tune on the car to compensate for the larger CAM?
And did your car come with AFM? Sorry not too familiar with the camaro engine packages.
