No more stripes
I've had this car for about 2 years and always hated the cheesy aftermarket stripes. It even had stripes on the roof. I finally got up the nerve to remove them. It took about 8 hours. I let the car sit in the sun for a couple of hours and the stripes came off fairly easily and pretty much in one piece. WD40 took care of the little bit of glue that was left and then a quick polish and the results were pretty good. There is a slight color difference (you really have to look closely to notice it) on the trunk and spoiler but not on the roof or hood. I'm thinking maybe the car was parked under a carport with sun only getting to the rear of the car. Here's before and after pictures.

Before replacing my hood and trunk with carbon fiber I removed the stripes and the trunk was really the only visible (from certain angles) outlines that you could see. Not sure why

Much better now plus paint corrections are way easier without stripes.

Stripes
I love my stripes but then again as have always said, the CamaroGen5 have phenominal body lines and look great with or without. If I ever thought about removing them, I would be terrified of permanent ghosting, then it's an all out paint job. Also, some of you have them painted on after removing the vinyl stripes which is a fool proof way to get rid of that issue.

I have the factory RS stripes.
I bought my car because when I was 12 I had a neighbor with a 69 Cortez Silver RS/SS w/stripes. That car stuck in my mind forever. They look good on certain colours.

So does black on blue… silver on blue is nice too. I can appreciate both styles but in my opinion factory style rally’s are hard to beat.
