Base V6 - 3.27 to 3.91
Hey all, considering trying to switch gears on my 2013 V6 from 3.27 to 3.91. What I'm wondering is if the actual diff housing is the same between each trim, or if I'd need to buy a whole new thing to accomplish such thing... Which leads me to the next question, if I did have to buy a whole new diff housing will I need to get new half-shafts? Or would the same ones from the V6 work just as well? (any extra info would be great)

If you have a 1LS I believe it's just a gear swap as the center is the same as the SS cars.
If it's a 2LS like me then it's a smaller 2.92 carrier and you will need pretty much everything and the kitchen sink too. But my knee isn't swelled up from rowing either so I got that going for me.

You have a 2LS w/2.92 gear ratio.

You could check history here on Camaro5 as someone did this and it was center, gears, shafts and I believe hybrid u joint. Looked like a pain and my first instinct is to say 'just buy a V8'.
At one time you could buy a Detroit 3.55 gear set for the 2LS but I guess they were discontinued.

I've never looked into it to know the exact parts and pieces needed but yes, you'll need the 1LS, LT/V8 diff for improved gearing. Keep in mind you can get a 3.27 V8 auto diff or a 3.45 V8 manual diff if you can find a used unit at a reasonable price. A jump from 2.92 to 3.45 could be just what you are looking for, especially with the 6L50's wide 4.48:1 first gear.
