New to forum, saw a thread like this today and it got kinda ugly, so I think it was deleted. But I have a question, bought my car from TX, front plate required, I live in AZ, not required. My car has the monsterous front plate bracket on it and I want to take it off, but what is underneath it? Are there holes drilled into the bumper? I think it will look terrible with the 4 holes in the bumper. I started to take it off but it was more difficult than just removing 4 screws, so I stopped. Anybody know? Thanks!

Yep there are holes drilled in sorry

actually, if the dealership put it on the why there are made to be put on, they drilled a few small holes and then pop rivited on. Its not easy to repair the front bumper, because of what it is made of, at least for now, you could get one of the chevy #1 plates of something like it.

Yeah, sucks, but there's holes in the bumper now. You should have told the dealer to not intall the front bracket. I asked mine about it and they said they never install them, because they would have to drill into the bumber. Either you can repair the front bumper, order a new bumper, or just live with the front license plate.

Didn't get a chance, found it on ebay motors and it was already installed. The car was almost exactly how I was going to order it. Oh well small price to pay.

Dealer installed mine after I had told them I didnt want it and signed paperwork due to state requirement for front plate. They installed it anyway. They have replaced the front bumper since then, but the paint looked like crap( lot of dirt in the paint and runs). Taking it back on tues, if its not right this time its another( factory painted) bumper or order me a new car. Dealer has been helpful, but body shops 1st attempt was piss poor.
