DOT requires all forward turn signals yellow...so not worried about them. I am talking about rear tail lights.

Australia DOT requires all vehicles have amber turn signals in the rear...... there are photos flying around here (too lazy to look for them) with the IVERs in Australia parked next to Mustangs, and they both have amber rear signals.

Very ugly.

Every car i have owned has had a amber turn signal. If the car has not come with one, i was able to find a euro tail light mod pretty easily. For some reason, i cannot find this for the new camaro yet. Please let me know when you find a place that sells them. Once i know i can change the color of the turn signal, i will purchase the camaro. I cannot stand a red turn signal. Most people in the States are too stupid to use turn signals anyway, so they don't really care about the color.

well IF you want something different for the front, get a set of STEALTH bulbs, when they are OFF it makes the trun signals white/silver, as it the refelection off the bulb, but when the light comes on, it shows as yellow.

So you won't buy the car until someone comes out with a way to make it ugly?

There are a lot more options that GM and aftermarket suppliers should be working on that don't make the car look less like the concept and/or the car it was patterned after.

Oh... and the turn signals share bulbs with the brake lights, so you will need to do some crazy rewiring to make the signals amber.

Besides.... you don't see the taillights from the driver's seat.

All thats required would be to disconnect the brake-turn wire from socket..

But Yuck..not for me..I wouldnt do it...

If you compared the yellow and red turn signals at night, then you would not think the yellow was ugly. I did no realize that the brake and turn signals share the same bulb. Looks like i'm keeping my bmw for a while longer.

I never paid attention to the color of the turn signals until I changed the housing on my camry to clear. I then got stealth bulbs to make them flash amber but turn clear.

I haven't pulled apart my Camaro yet to look at the rear turn signals, but I suppose if they share the same as the brake light, then they are probably dual filiment bulbs. You could probably tap off of the dual filiment wiring or fit the outer bulb with a single filiment bulb and amber housing to achieve the effect of an amber turn signal.

...to each his own, but IMO, that would look like crap.

I have a new 1ss coming over to the U.K. shortly and i will need to do an amber turn signal conversion, just to get it road worthy. So i will be keenly looking out for a GM part number for those lenses.
