Mufflers- SS

Hi,

Are the mufflers on the SS that come on the stick option and the automatic option the same exact stock muffler? I know the v6 is different.

thanks

No they are not. L99-auto has sound deadening crap in the muffler, where as the LS3 is a straight through design.

LOL the sound deadening crap is a resonator that is directly behind the Cats not in the mufflers.

Not that part, inside the muffler of the L99. It is different than LS3. I'll find the link.

Look at post 103 and 104. Shows LS3 and L99 differences.

how do you think LS3 mufflers would sound on RS V6? Too Loud?

I believe the v6 muffler is smaller but also straight thru design like LS3...

I see now...

L99 has resonator plus sound deadening crap in the muffler too. Glad I got rid of those trash cans on the rear...
