Why no back up sensors on all Camaros ?

Maybe I missed it but why no back up sensors on all Camaros ?
Visibility is the same on the base 6 as it is on the loaded 2SS.

The back up sensors were only recently added to the car by GM, and only if your car has the C&C package.

Don't worry they will be. They are government mandated starting sometime next year.

Here's mine

In the first picture the sensors are located in the black area (above the tail pipe and below the back up lights) and in the second picture the monitor is located in the car on the rear shelf on the "backside" of the third stop light housing.
The monitor reads out the distance from an object and beeps more quickly the closer you get. Helps keep from running over small children who cannot be seen from driver's seat thru the mirrors, etc. Its amazing how many kids in parking lots straggle behind their parents, stop to pick up a toy, etc. Or when you are backing out of your driveway kids come running up the block and stop behind you as you start to back up.
God doesn't always look out for small children, drunks and idiots.

The factory ones are in the bumper...at least on all the ones I've seen. I think the pic posted was a photoshop from a thread discussing the RPA before it was released.

Nice job on the installation! I like where your back-up sensors are located much better than GM putting them in the bumper (Ugh!). Where did you find these?

Yeah I couldn't agree more, they blend easier and I'm sure they work good. I'd also like more info and possibly a writeup on these.
