That happens more often than most anyone knows about.

It ain't easy bein' me on a Camaro forum...
Now, why are you here? If you are not going to buy a Camaro what's the point?

I would have no desire or need to be on a Mustang or Challenger forum unless I owned one or just wanted to try to convince people that the Camaro is better value than those cars.

Hmmmm...... I think I answered my first question....

My primary purpose on this forum is to make you (tradosaurus) wonder why I am on this forum.

I guess that's why my '88 S10 Blazer is such a piece of junk after 331,000 miles on the original engine and still no blue smoke. The heads and intake have never been off that engine, just basic minor repairs. Oh, and the frame and body have not rusted out, even after many miles of use on the NC Outer Banks when I'm fishing.

Toyota can also develop a car in 2 years and sell it without any significant problems. Yes the 2007 Camry did have a couple, but relatively few. And they are built in the US too.

I was really hoping that GM could get their act together . . . and there is still a good chance that I will buy one of these . . . but this is a little discouraging. I guess if they couldn't get their act together in the past 20 years it is a bit of a stretch to think that the "new GM" can do it overnight.

I still think you might be able to use the lemon law, read the summary that the guy posted -- I might not be reading it right, but I don't think you need to meet ALL of those conditions, just one of them . . . so just keep taking it back to them and leave it there for the same thing over and over, or leave it there for several days if it is not fixed, and it sounds like you fit the rules. If they can use the rules against you, you can play the same game.

(I fully expect to get flamed for talking about a rice burner on this site, but those are the facts!)
You know, I hear a lot of generalizations about many brands/models (and not just from you, but others as well). Toyotas with 0 problems, let's see, how many did they recently recall for sticking throttle issues (after at least several accidents and I believe a fatality or two)?? How many Toyota pickups were recalled for frames rusting out prematurely to the point that spare tires bolted under and to the frame fell off in the street while vehicles were running down the road?? I could give you more examples for Toyota as well as other manufacturers, the point is all manufacturers have some issues from time to time. If you want to state "facts", then please stick to facts that can be substansiated and backed up with data, otherwise it is just an opinion (and we all have them) based on our experience which may or may not be valid.

Sorry I'm so late to this thread, but I stay over on the Z/28 forums most of the time. I sympathize with you for all the issues you've had! And I think it's unusual to have that many issues with a single vehicle, but it can and does happen. My sister had a new custom home built, I'm in the construction industry and she lives in another city, every week or two she would call me to ask about yet another issue that happened, with her house while still under construction. I would listen and then explain that these problems do happen, this went on time and time again, I finally told her that none of her issues were uncommon but that what was unusual was for them all to happen on one house. Told her to keep on the builder's butt and make him fix every issue to her satisfaction. And that's the advice I would give you, stay on your dealer's butt and get the issues resolved or find a new dealer that is willing to help you. I've driven mostly GM vehicles for the last 40+ years and I've seen a few issues with them, but for the most part they have been trouble free and given me excellent service. I do hope you are able to get everything resolved so you can really enjoy your new Camaro!

Thanks, I do. Half my life is now spent keeping cars clean, but that's just fine by me. Never would have thought I would own two greats, just need the SS now (well, more like in about five years). Thought my wife would get the Camaro SS, somehow she ended up with a Mustang. It is a blast. The Challenger is my all time favorite (no offense). I've always loved Camaros, looking forward to my next one.

Im a Subaru guy too. The STi's haven't been holding up too well either. I've been reading there forums. They are having an unusually jigh engine failure rate. One poor guy only has 8000 miles and is on his 3rd engine. They also seem to have 3rd gear issues.

The new ones I believe the 09 STi's had a fuel mapping issue and ran lean at like 3500 rpm. The 04 to 07's were awesome cars. I loved my 04. And I kicked the living shit out of it. In the wet it would do rolling 4th gear AWD burnouts. I starting to miss a WRX, Imma look for a cheap 02-03 bugeye soon.

Got mine in late June # 2416, and so far the only problem I've had is with the Tire Pressure Monitoring system. Took it in and they fixed the front two, but still have a problem with the back two. I have not bothered to take it back in again.

I do seem to notice a paint mismatch, but I have IOM so I usually chalk it up to shade vs. sun. When the sun hits it, the metallic kicks in and gives it some pretty bright tones. I can't decide if its a problem with the paint or if that's they way it's supposed to look. I try to make myself believe that's they way it's supposed to look.

Sorry you've had so many problems with your car.
