Swaybars should be the first mod anybody does, besides the obvious pad, fluid and line upgrade. The car has plenty of stopping power, but the brakes do overheat after 6-7 hot laps.

This is one of the reasons why I also went naturally aspirated with mine, heads, cam, exhaust gave me just a hair under 500rwhp (497 to be exact) and that power is plentiful!

Other mods are brake upgrade, pfadt swaybars and springs and a much better alignment. Both my wife and I shaved 6 seconds off our laptimes at Homestead with these mods, and the car handles like a dream.

Here is a pic, and a video from the last weekend we went out racing

Same corner!

Hey Eric,

What TD organization do you run with? I'm in West Palm and would like to run at "Homey" sometime!

I've raced my Ducati 848 and Honda RC51 there several times and I really like the layout!

What kind of times do you turn there?

Thanks...

Usually Hooked On Driving, I'm going to do a NASA event on the 9th as well. It is a pretty fun track actually, at least for being in Florida which is flatter then flattest It's a strange feeling coming down from the banking and taking turn 1 flat-out!

Last time I was running mid 1.40's, i may have gotten one or two laps around 1.43-1.44 but my timing was off then. This is still on street tires btw, I have yet to buy a set of good track tires ($$$)

Maybe I'll see you there sometime

I think I'll try to make it down on the 9th... I'll stop by and say hello.

Best I've done on the Duc is 1:31s... the RC I did 1:34s. I like turn 6-7 best... turn 10 (coming off the back straight) is pretty intense as well!

Erik what kind of Video camera are you using and how did you mount it inside. Is it one of those hero cameras. The quality was pretty good.

Also Beauwolf, what type of bushing are you talking about? What brand?
Sorry about the late response...I usually run with Hooked on Driving - David Ray is a great guy. Turn 1 is around 70 for me - know I could do it faster, but that one and turn 8 always spook me. I've been there about a dozen times now with several different cars.

Damn that's fast! When I get my R-spec tires i HOPE to get low 1.40's and maybe on an amazing day with no respect for my own life maybe a high 1.30

I strapped a tri-pod down in the back and just put my regular JVC HDD camera back there

The short clip from the front bumper in the beginning was the Hero cam, but I am getting the HD version that is AMAZING for the money. I can highly recommend it!

The fast guys are doing 1:25s....

I saw on HOD's website that at Homestead they use Nascar 3&4 instead of the rest of the infield. Were you running the SCCA course or the banking?

SCCA course, they only use turn 3&4 some of the times and only in advanced. I don't find the banking any fun! I want turns

I instruct for the TWS driving school. I had this car out for only a few laps so far (still breaking it in at the time). I plan to have the next one out even more. Will be posting up results/impressions/etc in the future!
