In the meantime, I am very interested in the engine mods you are doing to see how they turn out; I'm old-school mechanic, when I went to tech school, points & condensers/carburetors were the norm and getting 400 hp out of a small block was an accomplishment, now they come that way from the factory....and it's net instead of gross. We could throw on a set of headers, bump the timing and re-jet the carb and get some pretty good gains; now you need a cat back, CAI and tuner to get the same results. Different era back then. This Camaro is a far cry from my '69, that's for sure!
Keep us posted with your mods!
I am very interested myself, can't wait to do them. As far as the solo exhaust I can't tell you how the car performed before and after because I have never drove one without the exhaust on it, ours is the only camaro I have driven and the dealership and solo had the exhaust on it and ready to go when we picked the car up. All I know is many people said the car was sluggish when brand new and ours never was. It did get stronger as it broke in but it has always roasted the tires. The next mod will be the CAI, can't wait to do that.

Good mornng. I can tell you I still have the original factory exhaust and there is nothing sluggish about my baby. It has awesome power! I can't even imagine what it will be if I do in fact do the CAI, tuner, and exhaust. If they add anything, it will be unreal. So far, I have been impressed with everything about my baby.

Ok....a blonde moment......and I know I should just look in the owner's manual, but that is just too easy........do we have and where is the windshield washer stuff?

Good Morning!

Well, I have been watching the news everyday ....... no sign of a cruise ship sinking! Surely, the Punkins wouldn't have just left their baby here alone in a cold garage and stayed on a deserted island! Where oh where are the Punkins???

Also......any help on the windshield washer fluid????

Cheryl: Look for a black plastic cap with a icon (that's supposed to look like a windshield...I think) just in front of the air cleaner box. It should look exactly like the photo (see red arrow) unless you have a 6 cyl. then I have no idea where it is located, but still should have the same icon. Be careful filling it up as the opening is small and when you spill, it makes messy.

Thanks a million!!! Here comes a really dumb blonde statement (hopefully, if and when the punkins get back, Steve won't read this!! ) but....I hadn't even looked under the hood. I had twisted, pulled, pushed, done everything I knew to do to the wiper stem inside the car and couldn't find the washer feature. Of course, it would have been too easy to look in the book so I just decided we must not have windshield washer. So, since we are supposed to have rain, sleet, and snow with low's around 14 degrees (here in South Mississippi!!!), I decided I might need this feature so I had better find it!!

Oh and Goodmorning everyone....
where did our group go???????

You know that was me the first time it started raining when i was driving the car...i kept taking the stem and pushing it down and the wipers wouldnt stay on...i was like thats strange but then i pushed it up and it started working...in all my other cars you push the stem down to turn the wipers on and in the camaro u push it up, dont yall think its strange or are all chevy cars like that these days?
