If i had to pick... I love my Camaro.. but the CTS-V is such an incredible package... but at the end... no matter what you decide on... they are BOTH incredible machines... |

You could get the Camaro and mod the hell out of it and spend less than the V.

I'd be all over the CTS-V if that were an option.

money isnt an issue? then CTS-V easily. if u hold off for a year, see if the Z28 gets an LSA, then u'll have a choice of CTS-V coupe and Z28. now that will be a tough choice.

Why do people include "RS" in vs. comparisons? Isn't 1SS or 2SS THE relevant stat?

when buying a car, dont do it because ur planning to do something to it. get it cuz when you drove it, you fell in LOVE with it. you can see ur self cruizing along and you feel good being in it. I would choose camaro over any car just cuz i LOVE it. but most other ppl wouldnt. drive both and make a decision

That would be the case if performance were their only consideration. And 1SS/2SS has no bearing on performance either, except that a 1SS will be a tiny bit faster due to a little less weight.

If I could comfortably afford either one, and didn't have to give up on my savings for a house/retirement/vacations/whatever, I'd choose CTS-V. Tremendous bargain, nice looking, incredible performance, comfort. It's a great car - love to have one. For me, it involves too many sacrifices in other areas, so it's unlikely.

No bad choices between these two. The obvious solution is one of each (Camaro, CTS-V) although I take it that is out of the question.
There are some aftermarket mods available for the CTS-V, so getting the Cadillac won't automatically keep you from spending more money modding it. If you enjoy tinkering with the car though you might prefer the Camaro and then customize it to your exact taste. I would look for a used 09 CTS-V to bring the cost down closer to the Camaro, but I am somewhat biased. Once the CTS-V Coupe comes along this summer there may be some Sedans on the market as people move to the Coupe variant. |

Thanks everyone for the great input. I decided to go the "sensible" route and just ordered a CGM 2SS/RS M6 w/IO interior. I'll enjoy the hell out of this car until I'm ready to make the leap to the Caddy. Hope to join you all as owners in about...oh...8-10 weeks.
