Factory Mustangs making 550hp....can you imagine saying that in the 80s-90s? For any domestic car for that matter?

Wheres our competition for this car?

Yea, why would you join a Camaro forum with a username (GM=bailout) like that?

The show car 2011 V6 and GT were painted. However, the show cars were painted last year as well. I had a correspondence with a owner who has SVT connections. They said they were working on a painted axle. This was around October of last year.

Adding hp without offering a better contact patch is stupid imo. Time for Ford to put some wider meat on the rear tires. It's already severely traction limited as it is.

If you can afford the car, you can afford to put wider tires. The only reason you would need it is either:
A. Drag racing
B. Track racing

To be competitive in either one, you'd want to ugprade more than just wheels/tires.

In response to the thread title, "2011 GT500 Order Guide", my order guide would be:

How to order 550 HP car
- Go to Ford Dealership
- Speak to salesperson about GT500
- Roll eyes at price
- Purchase Camaro SS from nearest Chevy dealership
- Install supercharger
- Drive back to said Ford Dealership
- Greet said salesperson with your new car
- Drive said salesperson to said Chevy dealership to fill out new hire application

And you wonder how threads like these end up turning into GT500 vs. Camaro threads.

Oh I think we know why, being a camaro website and all. It's just fun to give the Mustang-Trolls a hard time.

Camaro 1SS = $30,992
Vortech Supercharger System = $6489.99
Installation if needed = $1500 to $2000
Total = 38981.99 to 39481.99

2010 GT500 = $46,725

Price difference = $7243.01 to $7743.01

Even with getting a 2SS, savings is around $4,000.

Now that we have I will give Ford props for offering more options on the mustang. GM just gives you want you need.

You forgot to mention that you wont be getting forged internal's or the fact that the GT500 will come better equiped than a 1SS probably even better than a 2SS oh and a good warranty and resale

Because you're on a Camaro forum talking about the GT500?
