I've got a Victory Red Camaro and I had a dealership over here install gloss black stripes and I prefer them over the flat black.

OP... yes the rallys are flat. Just do yourself and your car a favor, use Zaino. Its awesome. I have about 5 coats on my car. Make sure you clay bar it first. Even from the factory this is crap all over the car. Click to enlarge the photo. Wheels and everything are Zainoed

Rally Black stripes can be purchased from your dealer in Gloss black but they Have the word Transformer on the sides of the Hood Buldge in silver.

I wanted Gloss black on My Yellow SS...

The dealer had a guy come scan another camaro and used 3M Material to duplicate in Gloss Black.

If You Look at pics in My Camaro's album under my profile you will see some pics of teh gloss black Without transformer Logo.

I too prefer the Gloss Black Especially on The yellow. Really makes it pop and gives it the more old school SS Look. IMHO

I have had no wax issues because stripes are smooth sinilar to paint.

Jut have to be careful along edges because wax can build up although it is easy to get off...Similar to any Vinyl stripes.

Follow up....There are some after market gloss Black stripes available on E Bay but Beware they are a very cheap Vinyl. I purchased some but Refused to install them.

The Vinyl was thin and just Junk. Lesson learned hard way. Go to a reputable Vinyl Guy or someone your dealer has worked with in the past.

Technically according to Fbodfather they are satin. But they look flat. I like them a lot o my IOM but a lot of people are going with painted stripes.

Thanks! It came out really well. We had a gathering of 6 5th gens at Hocking Hills here in Ohio and I saw that wall and it just looked like the perfect spot.
