This replica will be a production-version Camaro modified to resemble the exterior of Bumblebee, as seen in Transformers: The Movie. Specialty enhancements/design upgrades may not be covered by the GM New Vehicle Limited Warranty. Grand Prize vehicles will not be available for delivery until 2009. Winners must take delivery of vehicle within thirty (30) days of notice of availability from GM-selected dealer near each winner’s residence, and each will be solely responsible for sales tax, registration, license, title and insurance fees and cost of any additional optional equipment not provided with Grand Prize vehicle. Grand Prize vehicles’ APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUE (ARV) is based on forecasted 2009 Manufacturers Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of a base model Chevrolet Camaro. Winners must a have valid driver’s license from jurisdiction of residence and proof of insurance to take delivery.

Taking an educated guess based on the above, I would say it is a V8, production model (more than likely automatic because not everyone knows how to drive a stick) with yellow paint, black stripes, and a few other mods to resemble Bumblebee. I would say it is an 1SS (not RS) with cloth seats and no ambient lighting....
Bumblebee had the standard halogen lights, grey IVER grill, V6 front Bumper, 20 inch wheels in the front and 21 inchers in the rear. Valpar's Sunrise paint job with painted piano black stripes.

I will be surprised if they don't simply order a V6 since it would require the least amount of work done to it to make it look like Bumblebee.. They paint the black grill grey, and give it the Sunrise paint job with stripes.. Getting the same rims in the same size as Bumblebee will be expensive. So the other route they may go is with a V8 LT2 SS and simply order the V6 bumper to change it and do the same as I mention above.. That way they leave the 20 inch rims that are standard since that won't be a huge difference....

What will be a glaring difference is if they leave the SS bumper on there..It simply won't look like Bumblebee to me...So either get the V6 and buy larger rims, or get the V8 and exchange the bumper... It will be interesting to see what they come up with since they don't specify V8 or V6... And in this case looks is more important than the engine type..

Bumblebee was a concept, so I have to correct the wheel size. The concept had 21s in the front and 22s in the back. The Bumblebee grill was not the IVER grill because that one had 2 bars across the middle instead of one.

Otherwise, your information is spot-on.

I received a message today from a gentleman who asked me if I wanted to sell the Bumblebee because he is buying the new camaro and have it painted like Bumblebee and this would save him having to do that.
What do you guys think this car is actually going to be worth?
I am not selling just wondering.

ummmm, Bumblebee did not have IVER ANYTHING... he had Concept everything... his front bumper has the SS opening above the grille, so the V6 bumper isn't going to work... trust me when I say that it will, most likely, be a 1SS car.
