As an owner of all three Pony cars
I have a love for all three, each has their strong Points and all have their short comings The 2010 Camaro SS/RS was the first one I bought, I love it for it's styling and ride. It has lots of power, as I am 6'3 and 330 lbs I have really not found it terrible to get into once inside it is very comfortable. The back seat has very little room (as we have had our two granddaughter's in the back of all of them) I find the brake lever to large in looks and two high and on the wrong side. The main lack of refinment is in the dash compared to the other two is it's main failing. My wife finds the passager seat to low for good visability, if it was power it would be better. The 2010 Mustang Shelby Convertable was next. As far as factory power this car has the most. It's ride is more choppy but seats are confortable, the back seat is about the same as the Camaro. It's dash components are the most refined of all three, this is the car my wife loves the most and that is mainly due to the convertable. Once we get the Camaro Convertable we will see what happens. The 2009 Challenger SRT8 was the last one I purchased last year. As I have been a Dodge fan since childhood buying the other two was interesting. Originally I was going to buy a Charger as these are the cars I really loved but it seems Dodge does not what to build a two door. So the challenger was my next choice but I could not find a dealer at first that would sell at MSRP and could get the model and color I wanted. It is the largest of all three and if you need to have someone in the back seat (Like Kids, Backseat driving wives) this is the model. It is the most retro of all three, it has a ride I would place second of the three, it has dash refinments but less than the Mustang. If I had to make a choice of the three It would depend on my Lifestyle at the time. At this time in my Life I can ejoy all three. I love all three and we drive and enjoy all three equally. |

I drive a 07 Charger with the 5.7 and a Challenger SRT8 as well as a Camaro 2LT RS.
![]() As a daily driver back and forth to work the Camaro is great. For longer trips the Charger has the size and the 5.7 has the power and gas saving. The SRT8 is just a monster and my wife doesn't like driving it. So as always it depends on how youre planning to use the car. |

It has all the power and looks you need but it lacks some cluster gauges which you can put in later, a usb port, bluetooth and leather seats (I think Im missing something else). Those are all options I can live without so I went for the 1ss. Good looks, good pricing and great power.

My car will be used as a daily driver. 50 miles each way. 10 miles on a straight SR, 25 on I-65, then 15 more on some back road twisties. Last Monday we just purchased my wife her 3rd Honda Pilot (Touring). That is the family car with DVD, Navi and all the touches.

Challenger R/T (14.1 @ 102 mph) - Motortrend Challenger R/T (14.1 @ 101 mph) - Road and Track Camaro SS (13.0 @ 110 mph) - Motortrend Camaro SS (12.9 @ 110 mph) - Road and Track. No matter how you look at it, the Challenger R/T is a high 13-low 14 sec car. |

I mentioned putting 10 cars on the Challenger R/T at the dragstrip. That was when my car was about a week old, and it just so happens there were about 5 Challenger R/T's in attendance. Some sort of Challenger club/website gathering at the track. They were running 14.0-14.2 all night, each of them were stock. I was running 13.0-13.1 all night, also stock. Raced two of those cars, it was humiliating for them. A pair of the owners came to check out my Camaro in the staging lanes after getting whipped, and asked what i'd done to the car.
"It is stock, about a week old." silence.... frowny faces.... "damn, I should have bought a Camaro" says one of them.

I would love to find a NEW G8 GXP 6MT for $38,500. That would be the ultimate for me. I don't have the patience to wait and see what GM may or may not do with the return of a G8 in Chevy Clothing. There is a Firehawk nearby that I had my eye on, but they want $58k. I appreciate that it is #9 of 12, with SLP bolts ons and such, but I could get a CTS-V for that kind of dough (not to mention I just can't afford it).

I drove the RT first, then over to the Chevy dealer and drove the SS. The R/T seems like it's geared a little too tall. The SS was all around more car for less money and the Chevy dealer gave me more money for my trade (Jeep srt8) than the Dodge dealer!
