I was running the "smooth" style black bowties from SFX Performance. I really like them, but never liked how the front sat. It was a little too flat and didn't fill the spot in the grill well.

I decided to leave the rear bowtie (at least for now), but revert to the stock one up front. Before reinstalling it, I shot it with some Krylon Camouflage for plastic in ULTRA FLAT BLACK. I think it came out great and it matches the grill PERFECTLY!

I like the new one A. LOT. better. The old one looked too cheap and flat. Good choice!

the new looks a lot better. Very similar to mine. I just used vinyl.

I scuffed up the entire piece with some sandpaper, wiped it down with a wet rag, let it dry, and sprayed it. I did 3 light coats. It was pretty simple. The can says that the paint will adhere to plastic without sanding or priming.
